Video Introduction to Dr Elizabeth Pollitzer, founder of PORTIA and the Gender Summit

We are honoured to collaborate with Portia our Gender in Science partner for the SGCI-2 GEI theme. This partnership links us with networks in the regional and global gender equality and science, technology, and innovation science spaces.

In this short 8-minute video Dr Elizabeth Pollitzer, founder of PORTIA and the Gender Summit shares information about the organization and its networks and partnerships and suggests avenues for SGCI GEI collaboration highlighting the 23rd Gender Summit.

The 23rd Gender Summit will occur on the 1^st and 2^nd June and the 8^th and 9^th of June 2023, with Ghana as the official host. The events of the 1^st and 2^nd June will be online, and the 8^th and 9^th of June will be face-to-face in Accra, Ghana. The programme is currently being developed. The provisional title is Africa’s energy transition pathways and vision of Green New Deal through a gender lens.

The SGCI-2 GEI project has the opportunity for a one-hour panel on the 9^th of June 2023.
