Equitable and Ecological Socioeconomic Transformation
Equitable Education and Economies (EEE) • Equitable and Ecological Socioeconomic TransformationGaps between poor and wealthy people show up in growing levels of livelihood inequalities. These wealth and income gaps intersect with gender and multiple social inequalities. They also overlaps with and find expression in uneven capacities to participate in political institutions, often silencing the political voices of poor people. A growing climate crises adds disproportionate burdens on people who are economically and socially disadvantaged. It is important to reveal the scale and depth of inequalities and their underlying causes. Such awareness and evidence of inequalities is a first step to developing equitable alternatives for visibly better human wellbeing outcomes.
