Women researchers are making a vital contribution to the Human Sciences Research Council (HSRC), generating evidence that helps us better understand and respond to some of South Africa’s most pressing social and economic challenges. Her Research, Our Future celebrates the women behind this work, highlighting their experiences, perspectives and contributions across areas including equitable education and economies, impact evaluation, ethical governance and inclusive innovation.

Through reflections from HSRC researchers at different stages of their careers, the video explores what it means to conduct rigorous, relevant and impactful research. It highlights the importance of representation, collaboration and creating opportunities for emerging researchers, while recognising the role that women’s voices and expertise play in shaping knowledge and informing a better future.
