The HSRC’s Prof Thokozani Simelane recently spoke to Newzroom Afrika’s Vuyo Mvoko on the results of the National Food and Nutrition Security Survey, which found that 69% of obese adults live in food-insecure households in South Africa, where families have few dietary choices and are forced to eat food with little nutritional value.
