Dr Olive Shisana has been appointed as an advisor to Economics Development Minister Ebrahim Patel’s ministerial advisory panel, alongside prominent experts that will include Joseph Stiglitz, the 2001 Nobel Economics Prize laureate and a former chief economist of the World Bank. The panel will meet four times a year.
