What kinds of disruption, promising ideas and innovative practices in African higher education can help us to critically imagine the African university of the future? How can we ensure quality and relevant higher education for African youth from diverse and disadvantaged backgrounds to successfully transition into, through, and out of higher education into livelihoods and contribute meaningfully to meeting the challenges of the continent and the world?

These are the questions we’ll explore in the next episode of the HSRC Connect.

1.            Prof. Crain Soudien, former CEO of the HSRC and DVC of UCT and currently emeritus professor in Education and African Studies. 

2.            Prof. Thierry Luescher, a strategic lead and adjunct professor in critical studies in higher education transformation at Nelson Mandela University, and a research fellow at UFS.

3.            Dr Angelique Wildschut, a research director at the HSRC

4.            Krish Chetty, a  chief researcher at the HSRC

5.            Vuyiswa Mathambo, a senior research manager and project manager of the Imprint of Education Study
