Racism is the seed of superiority planted in the mind to make others feel inferior on the basis of skin colour, panellists said yesterday at a briefing in Johannesburg.
The New Age Business Briefing in Sandton on the debates on racism in contemporary South Africa follows the recent spate of racial outbursts between black and white South Africans on social media.
Among those who lent their voices to the discussion were ANC secretary-general Gwede Mantashe, columnist and social commentator Pinky Khoabane, AfriForum CEO Kallie Kriel, and CEO of the Human Sciences Research Council (HSRC) Prof Crain Soudien.
