Impact Planning Guide I
What is an impact summary? What is an impact pathway? This training guide aims to provide answers to these two questions. The first section offers a worked examples of an impact summary and an impact pathway taken from a real and ongoing research project. The second section offers guidelines for writing your own impact summary and impact pathway.
Stakeholder Engagement: Planning Guide II
This short Stakeholder Engagement Guide II is a supplement to the Impact Planning Guide I. It extends and deepens the guidelines on stakeholder engagement focusing on principles and best practices. Stakeholder engagement is a pathway to impact and as such it requires careful planning and skillful management.
Evidencing Impact: Planning Guide III
This Evidencing Impact Guide presents HSRC researchers with research methods they can explore, experiment with and use for impact evaluation such as mapping complex impact causal pathways, comparative analysis, understanding how and why certain impact pathways are effective, and compiling impact case studies. The Guide also offers a suite of additional resources for impact evaluation. The methods offered in this Guide may be familiar to some researchers and unfamiliar to others. To ensure that these methods are indeed of value, the Impact Centre will make efforts to arrange training webinars and workshops on these methods in the near future.
