The Climate Change and Futures Conference Series represents a flagship initiative of the Human Sciences Research Council (HSRC), serving as a pivotal platform for transdisciplinary knowledge exchange, policy foresight, and evidence-based engagement on climate change, public health, and sustainable development across Africa. The conference is strategically aligned with the societal grand challenges articulated in the Department of Science, Technology, and Innovation’s (DSTI) Decadal Plan, as well as the HSRC’s institutional priorities and the Medium-Term Strategic Framework (MTSF).

The conference embodies the HSRC’s commitment to addressing complex, interconnected challenges through a multi-stakeholder approach.
