The Cape Winelands Knowledge Sharing Festival (KSF), scheduled for 11–12 March 2026, is a multidisciplinary event hosted by KC 107.7 to celebrate its 30th anniversary of community broadcasting. Held in the historic city of Paarl, the festival is organized in partnership with several key institutions, including the Human Sciences Research Council (HSRC), Stellenbosch University, the Cape Peninsula University of Technology, and Casidra. Under the theme “Unlocking (Youth) Opportunities Through Innovative Collaborative Partnerships,” the gathering aims to address the urgent crisis of South African youth unemployment—which reached approximately 46.1% in early 2025—by fostering a coordinated approach between academia, government, the private sector, and civil society.
The call for abstracts invites researchers, practitioners, and activists to submit contributions across five key themes:
- bridging knowledge and action through community media,
- innovation for inclusive growth,
- the role of sport in development,
- resilient municipal governance,
- and the impact of digital transformation
Submissions should emphasize scalable models and practice-based reflections that demonstrate tangible societal impact. In addition to formal presentations and panel discussions, the festival will feature “How2” workshops focused on skills such as scientific writing and utilizing AI tools, with opportunities for selected papers to be featured in a post-conference publication within the International Journal of Applied Research in Business and Management. Interested delegates are required to submit structured abstracts of no more than 350 words by 20 February 2026
