Childhood obesity growing progressively
Childhood obesity in South Africa is growing progressively. This was highlighted in the recent report of the South African National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES-1). This report states that, obesity prevalence for South African children aged six to 16 years is 13,5%. This percentage is higher than the global prevalence of 10%.
