Traditional Courts Bill ‘is unfair’

The controversial Traditional Courts Bill came under heavy criticism yesterday with suggestions that some of its clauses were against the constitution and likely to prejudice women.

And at a seminar hosted by the Human Sciences Research Council (HSRC) in Pretoria yesterday most people called for a delay in the passing of the Bill, while some have even suggested that it be scrapped and rewritten from scratch.
