A non-profit organisation with a focus on health issues has called on young hip-hop artist to aid in making condom use cool. Kro Barz has come to the rescue of South African parents, teachers, doctors, religious and political leaders, who have been unsuccessful in their efforts to get young people to condomise.
Despite several intervention programmes in South Africa, risky sexual behaviours remain a public health concern. The Human Sciences Research Council (HSRC) published a study that states that women who talked about condoms with their partner during the preceding 12 months were more likely to have used condoms during their last sexual experience.
