While two-fifths of SA’s adults think that voting is meaningless, almost eight in ten people agreed they had to vote, and for them electioneering continued apace throughout the country on Workers’ Day yesterday.
A survey by the Human Sciences Research Council ( HSRC) which was released yesterday, states that a 2013 survey had found that 43% of people agreed with the statement “voting is meaningless because no politician can be trusted”, the council said in a statement.
