This training workshop which is intended for HSRC analysts and programme officers and personnel from other organizations will focus on the configuration and implementation requirements such as data collection and entry for the CLIMATE CHANGE JURISDICTIONAL VULNERABILITY INDEX (CC-JVI) SYSTEM which was developed by Prof. Hilary I. Inyang in collaboration with Prof. Charles Hongoro for application across jurisdictions ranging from cities to provinces/states, countries and continental regions.Vulnerability assessments are essential to the planning and post-implementation evaluation of both mitigative and adaptive actions for global climate change. The Department of Environment, Forestry and Fisheries of South Africa has developed a National Climate Risk and Vulnerability (CRV) Assessment Framework (59) to provide guidance for developers of climate change vulnerability indices.
