Increasing family planning uptake among women of child bearing age in Uganda requires the intensification of proven strategies such as educational campaigns to constantly raise awareness. The most effective approach to this is to assume a multi-sectoral approach that brings private and public partners (including religious-based partners) together. It is clear that in Uganda, there is no shortage of effective programmes and interventions, but funding to ensure optimal coverage for family planning services is limited.
