Johannesburg, Thursday, 5 November 2026 – The Human Sciences Research Council (HSRC) will brief the media on the outcomes of the Election Satisfaction Survey (ESS) conducted on election day among voters. The media briefing will be held at the Results Operations Centre (ROC), Gallagher Convention Centre, Midrand, on Friday, 6 November 2026 from 14h00.

The ESS survey assessed the opinions and perceptions of voters on Election Day, determining whether the elections were considered free and fair. The survey also evaluated the operational efficiency of the Independent Electoral Commission of South Africa (IEC).

The media briefing will provide an opportunity for journalists to engage with the HSRC research team and gain insights into the survey’s findings.
