HSRC RESEARCH HUB#3: Equitable Food Value Chains and Rural Socio-Economic Transformation
Dear Stakeholder,
The Human Science Research Council (HSRC) is hosting a capacity development workshop designed to strengthen the capacity of researchers to design and implement impactful, ethical, and inclusive stakeholder engagement processes. Grounded in the objectives of advancing equitable food value chains through rigorous engagement practice, the session will provide participants with foundational concepts, practical tools, and strategic frameworks for stakeholder mapping, engagement planning, and collaborative dialogue.
CAPACITY EMPOWERMENT APPROACH/MODEL: Everyone is invited to participate in this session to enhance their capabilities through discussions with peers and inputs from experts. Time will be allocated to self-reflect, share experiences with others and advance thinking and practices for innovations in stakeholder engagement for impactful research.
Specific topics of the session include:
- What does stakeholder engagement in research entail?
- How can researchers engage stakeholders?
- How can innovations in stakeholder engagement be operationalised?
Participation will contribute to building consistent, high-quality engagement practices across the HSRC research ecosystem. All are invited and welcome to participate.
