The Human Sciences Research Council (HSRC), in partnership with the South African Medical Research Council (SAMRC), the University of Cape Town (UCT), and Tekano: Atlantic Fellows for Health Equity, invites you to a virtual webinar on Safe Spaces in Cities for Supporting Youth-Friendly Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) Programmes on 25 August 2026 from 14h30 to 16h30 (SAST).
This webinar will bring together researchers, policymakers, practitioners, and community leaders to explore how urban environments, public spaces, transport systems, and local governance influence young people’s access to sexual and reproductive health information, services, and support.
The discussion will highlight evidence on youth-friendly SRH programmes, examine barriers to equitable access, and identify practical actions and collaborative opportunities to create safer, more inclusive cities that support the health and well-being of young people.
We look forward to your participation.
