Dr Helena Dolny offers a kaleidoscope of more than fifty non-fiction stories on nine themes. She believes that the earlier we have end-of-life conversations the better. And there’s evidence to support several benefits: longevity, expenditure, and less family conflict, and personal peace of mind. So why is it so hard for all of us to talk about our inevitable mortality including our family doctors? And what about when there are differences of opinions on health care interventions? Whose point of view should prevail? But Dolny’s talk is not only about the medical decisions, it will also provoke you to think about your relationships, your secrets, your finances, your treasured possessions, and the rituals that hold meaning for you.
Dr Helena Dolny consistently works with issues that speak to both intellect and heart. She completed her PhD on land markets and their relevance to land reform. She was CEO of the Land Bank in the late nineties. There she discovered the challenge of leadership and institutional transformation so essential to our society. She retooled by completing a Masters in Executive Coaching. She works as a leadership coach with teams and individuals as well as teaching at Henley Business School. She also writes and undertakes presentations, workshops and coaching on why its so important for us all to have end-of-life conversations as part of everyday living
