Dr Vuyo Mjimba is Chief Research Specialist in the Africa Institute of South Africa (AISA), an Africa-focused research division of the Human Sciences Research Council (HSRC). He holds a PhD in Development, Policy, and Practice from The Open University (The OU) (2012) in the United Kingdom where he was mentored by Prof Raphael Kaplinsky. Mjimbaâ??s research, publications, and policy support activities are focused on reinforcing subject matters â?? sustainable development, seeking industrialisation in Africa, industrial policy, climate change and the green economy, innovation studies, and policy analysis. This work covers industries that include mining, agriculture, and health systems.
