Kukhanyile Mali is a PhD Trainee at the Human Sciences Research Council (HSRC), under the Equitable Education and Economies (EEE) division within the Dynamics of Agro-food Systems and Innovations (DASI) team. He joined the HSRC in December 2023. Prior to his position at HSRC, Kukhanyile worked as a lecturer at the University of the Western Cape (UWC) Economics Department. His responsibilities involved lecturing microeconomics, mathematical economic and student supervision. He holds a Master's degree in Economics with a specialization in Development Economics and Macroeconomics from the University of the Western Cape. This academic background has equipped him with a strong foundation in economic principles within the realm of development. Kukhanyile's expertise and experience suggest a focus on economic research, quantitative analysis, and an understanding of how economic principles intersect with development contexts.
