Ms Nazeema Isaacs
PhD Research Trainee

Nazeema Isaacs is a PhD Research Trainee at the Human Sciences Research Council, in the Impact Centre. Here, she works on several projects that focus on social cohesion, gender, equality, and inclusivity in science granting councils, engaged research, transformation, adolescents and mental health, gender-based violence, and the experiences of persons who identify as LGBTI. She graduated with her Masters in Research Psychology from the University of the Western Cape. She did a systematic review, and her topic focused on women's emotional and psychological experiences of medically complicated pregnancies. She is currently a PhD Candidate at Stellenbosch University. Some of her research interests include gender-based violence, sexuality, care, violence, gender, and intersectionality.
