With new leadership in the Ministry and Department of Health from 2009/10 there has been renewed interest and commitment to organisational restructuring which would improve decision-making for better service delivery. Importantly, several health sector initiatives depend on a revised and strengthened NDoH for their effective implementation. These include: the NDoH 10 Point Plan, the Negotiated Service Delivery Agreement, the Annual Performance Plan and aspects of National Health Insurance implementation.
