The Sixth South African AIDS Conference: Renewed commitment to meet the Millennium Development Goals

Dira Sengwe, meaning “take action”, is a South African based NGO and the custodian of the South African AIDS (SA AIDS) Conference, a two-yearly event that supports the South African response to HIV and AIDS. The first SA AIDS Conference was held in 2003 and the sixth conference took place in a pleasantly sunny Durban last week from 18-21 June 2013. The theme of the conference, “Building on Successes: Integrating Systems”, resonated throughout the event.
