Professor Peter Jacobs is a Strategic Lead in the Equitable Education and Economies (EEE) division of the HSRC. He holds a PhD in Economics from Fordham University (New York) and a C2 researcher rating from the National Research Foundation (NRF). His areas of research interest include: the economics of agrarian transitions, with special emphasis on land reform and small-scale farming, socioeconomic dynamics of innovation, agro-food systems/AVCs; political economy of food and nutrition security.
