The government’s huge antiretroviral drive appears to be paying off — for Old Mutual, it has meant a decrease of 20 percent in deaths on its risk cover.
With roughly one million more people given access to antiretrovirals (ARVS) in the past two years, Health Minister Aaron Motsoaledi says he is confident the mortality rate will drop further as he works towards having 2.5 million people on antiretrovirals by 2015.
