The STEP Academy strengthens the capacity of emerging African researchers to turn science into actionable policy, powerful communication, and advocacy for change.

Through a dynamic series of 2–3-hour seminars, participants will gain practical tools in evidence-informed policymaking, policy brief writing, stakeholder mapping, science communication, and advocacy strategies.

Led by HSRC experts, in partnership with the African Early Childhood Network (AfECN) and supported by the Two Lillies Fund, the Academy equips researchers to make their work visible, relevant, and transformative for society.
