Zimbabwe Elections 2023 – Issues and Prospects Pre-election Analysis

A two-part series of seminars on Zimbabwe Decides 2023: Issues and Prospects.
11 August 2023

The Africa Institute of South Africa (AISA) at the Human Sciences Research Council (HSRC) and The Institute for Justice and Reconciliation (IJR) will be hosting a two-part series of seminars on Zimbabwe Decides 2023: Issues and Prospects. The focus of the first seminar will spotlight the upcoming elections that will be held on 23 August 2023, followed by the post-election analysis.

The first part of the seminar will use the recently released Afrobarometer pre-election survey findings to analyse and reflect on key issues, prospects and the regional implications of Zimbabwe’s elections.

The seminar will assemble multiple participants, including Diplomats, academics, researchers, think-tanks and civil society organisations who have an interest in overseeing a peaceful and credible electoral process that may potentially unlock the economic logjam that Zimbabwe is currently in.
