What is knowledge, what counts as knowledge, and whose knowledge is recognised in community-engaged research? The HSRC would like to invite you to join our webinar that explores insights of putting knowledge into practice methodologically, technologically, institutionally, and strategically in community-engaged research. Speakers will use case studies and practical examples to highlight tensions in the area while also raising questions about impact, inclusion, and relevance. The webinar will additionally unpack institutional and structural barriers that need to be overcome to genuinely support community-engaged research. This session is anchored by the provocation: Community-Engaged Research is often presented as progressive, but is it structurally transformative?
