The Equitable Education and Economies Division of the HSRC would like to invite you a webinar on Transforming Farming Practices for Emission Reduction in South African Agriculture on 31 October 2024. 

South Africa’s nationally determined contributions often underestimate the agricultural sector’s potential for emissions reduction. Research shows that South African agriculture can play a significant role in mitigating climate change. In this webinar, Lindiwe Hayo will discuss her examination of the relationship between agricultural emissions and cereal yield and how carbon credit mechanisms can reduce greenhouse gas emissions while transforming farming practices.
