Despite the Constitutional protection of judicial independence, the judiciary has been under attack. In this lecture, Adv. Pikoli will explore the meaning of judicial independence and its importance to our democracy.
Coincidentally, Adv. Pikoli’s will deliver the lecture on the same day that the meeting between President Zuma, the Chief Justice Mogoeng Mogoeng and the Judges will be taking place to discuss issues of the judiciary being under attack.
